This Hasston roller meter is made of plastic covered with rubber and has a strong magnet at the end. The function of the magnet is so that the user can operate the roller meter himself (the tip does not need to be held by someone else) and is not easily broken (bends down when used).
There are 2 lock systems, at the bottom for temporary locks, and at the top for permanent locks when in use. To pull the meter back, just remove the lock.
